40km to celebrate 40 years of care
Join us for a stunning walk across the south coast of Sussex; a 40km walking challenge to celebrate 40 years of hospice care. The walk starts at Southease with a route that will take you via Alfriston and Eastbourne, before finishing at Normans Bay. To sign up visit www.stwhospice.org/wilfwalk
The walk is broken down into three stages, so you can choose a shorter distance if you like:
Southease to Alfriston 11km
Alfriston to Eastbourne 16km
Eastbourne to Normans Bay 13km
Entry is £40 per walker for the full route, £15 for a single-stage and £30 for two stages. The cost of entry includes route instructions, refreshments en route and at the finish line, a 40th anniversary commemorative T-shirt and a challenge medal on completion.
There is no minimum fundraising target but we are asking participants to aim for at least £100, which could cover the cost of a Nurse’s care on our Inpatient Unit, or out in the community, for one day. A fundraising pack full of fundraising tips and resources will be sent to all participants.
