A garden-come-gallery with a huge collection of fascinating sculptures; home to a large wildlife pond with a Chinese style pagoda, an Edwardian greenhouse with grape vine, a small chantry/chapel in the northern corner and lots more to explore.
Please note: this garden is wheelchair accessible. No dogs are permitted at this garden, except assistance dogs.
At the time of planning the 2021 Open Garden programme, Covid-19 restrictions are in place and it is possible that some level of social distancing regulation will continue during the season. So we are asking our visitors to pre-book a timed arrival slot for each of our gardens this year.
This is so we can keep visitor numbers within any imposed limits and keep our visitors, garden owners and staff as safe as possible.
The money raised at our Open Gardens will fund the work we do. Last year we supported over 1,600 patients with life-limiting illnesses and their family members. It costs over £15,000 a day to run the hospice. With only 23% of that amount coming from the NHS, we rely on the support and generosity of the community to raise the rest. In 2019, the Open Gardens season raised over £25,000 so your donations really will make a difference and are greatly appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you and really hope you enjoy visiting the St Wilfrid’s Open Gardens this year.
The printing of our brochures was very kindly sponsored by Chalk Farm Nurseries www.chalkfarmnurseries.co.uk
