| This week on 80'"s Bliss...
80s Bliss begins at 7 pm. Join us for some great music and get your weekend off to a fantastic start!!!
We want you to tell us about your favourite 80s song. E-mail Mark now with the artist, song name and why it is your favourite to get a mention on the show.
Regular features on 80s Bliss include the ever popular and addictive 80s Mystery Track competition which takes place between 7 and 8.30pm on a Friday night, where you'll be given a cryptic clue to solve. Pit your wits against other listeners to see if you can be the first to tell Mark & David the name of the 80s track that the clue refers to and the group or artist that had a hit with it.
Between 8.30 and 10pm we will be switching competitions to the 80s Time Vault, where we will give you up to 3 clues over the course of the hour and from the clues you will have to guess what is in our Time Vault. There is only 1 thing we can give away, it will not be an 80s song, but it could be anything else in the 80s such as; Fashion, Tv and Film, Famous people or anything else.
For those of us of a certain age 80s Bliss is three hours of pure nostalgia, for everyone else it is an experience.
Get Your 80s Events on local radio ...
If you are organising an 80s theme event such as a 80s disco or you are in an 80s tribute band why not e-mail the details to Mark and ask him to give you some coverage on Seahaven's own radio station.
About Mark Evans ... Mark has always had a love of music from an early age. As a toddler he entertained his captive audiences with a memorable rendition of The Beatles' 'She Loves You', complete with toy guitar! Apparently cine film proof does exist but is guarded jealously to prevent it reaching You Tube. Fast forward a few years and after a brief but successful foray into amateur dramatics we find Mark in his early twenties as a succesful local DJ with his own mobile disco, but unfortunately the day job and a move to the South Midlands put his career on hold.
In 2000 and back in his native Sussex, a chance meeting with a work colleague brought about the opportunity to get involved as a presenter with Hospital Radio at Eastbourne District General Hospital.
When Seahaven FM was formed, Mark was delighted to be included as part of the team bringing community radio to the Seahaven Area.
Every Friday evening between 7pm and 10pm prepare yourselves for an exhilarating experience as Mark, aided and abetted by son David, takes you on a journey back to the 1980s. Relive the music, the comedy and major news stories of this defining decade.
When Mark is not in the studio his hobbies include photography, local history, transport heritage and supporting his favourite football teams. Mark is a keen Arsenal fan and you'll also find him on the terraces at Priory Lane cheering on Eastbourne Borough.
Be sure to tune in and drop Mark an e-mail or text.
You can also catch up with Mark on Tuesday evenings between 9 and 11 when he presents Evanly Love Songs.
